Artist Bio

Angela Blessing is the Designer and Creator of stunning adornment and talismans dedicated to the natural mystic within each of us. Acclaimed as a rising star of sacred jewelry and neo-tribal artwear, Angela’s one-of-a-kind works of art laden with rich symbolism and precious/semi-precious gemstones have captured the attention of an international audience.

Angela began her jewelry career at the age of 21 in the Southwest. Inspired by the powerful tribal and Native American jewelry designs of these ancient cultures, she began to explore simple forms of jewelry making as a part time endeavor. By grace, a master talismanic silversmith of the Bear Tribe, Star Sparks (aka Sparks, Steven Brick, Eben Baruch) offered her a once in a life time opportunity to Apprentice and learn the spiritual alchemy of silver- and goldsmithing. To this day, she is the only one known to have completed an Apprenticeship with StarSparks, a bona fide Shamanic Jeweler. Sparks passed away suddenly in 1999 after 3 delightful years working side-by-side, co-designing and fabricating in Northern New Mexico.

Angela's spiritual quest has greatly infuenced her work over the years and continues to be the guiding source for every creative inspiration in her life. She and her loving husband are ordained Ministers in the Universal Life Church and have a congregation in thier home town of Santa Cruz, CA, called the Temple of Yes. She and Hallelujah also play together in a 10-piece band called Peace Tribe Orchestra, cello and vocals being her main focus. Angela is a sacred pipe carrier and ceremonialist of Native Ways and non-denominational rites.
